Rookie

The Rookie class is for entry-level drivers that are new to RC racing. This class is open to all ages. This class may be separated into kids and adults depending on attendance. This class is also sometimes split by battery size or scale depending on the number of entries. Basically, bring what you have, and we will do our best to combine or create a class you can race in. We want everyone to have fun and be able to race no matter your age or experience. The rules for this class are:

  • Chassis: Any 1/10th or 1/8th scale vehicle is allowed. No 1/5th scale or 8s vehicles.
  • Motor: Any Motor
  • Batteries: Any battery 6s and below, but we highly recommend 4s and below.
  • Tires: Any tires are allowed.
  • Bodies: Any body style is allowed.
  • Minimum Weight: None

RTR Short Course Truck

Short Course Truck RTR (Ready to Run)

The RTR Stock Short Course Truck (Ready to Run) class is for both beginner and intermediate races alike looking to race 2wd or 4wd short course trucks with the ready to run system for your specific vehicle or stock/spec motors. If you are relatively new to off-road racing, you should definitely consider this class. This class allows you to come straight from the hobby shop with your new toy and start racing. This class only allows stock tires like the ones that came already installed on your vehicle, so there’s no need to spend money on multiple sets of fancy tires. This is the perfect class for beginners and intermediate racers that aren’t ready to make a big investment on a high-end race kit. Also, it’s one of our favorites to watch! This class may be split into 2wd and 4wd divisions depending on the number of entries. The rules for this class are:

  • Chassis: Any 1/10th scale off-road 2wd or 4wd Short Course Truck style chassis.
  • Motor: Any 1/10th scale motor
  • ESC (Electronic Speed Control): The original RTR power system for your specific vehicle or stock/spec motors.
  • Batteries: 6-cell NiMH batteries, or 2s hard case Li-Poly batteries
  • Tires: Stock tires only!
  • Bodies: Any short course truck style body
  • Minimum Weight: None

4x4 Short Course Truck

Short Course Truck 4wd - Open

The 4×4 Short Course Truck class is for beginners to advanced racers. You must run 4wd trucks in this class. The rules for this class are:

  • Chassis: Any 1/10th scale off-road 4-wheel drive Short Course Truck style chassis.
  • Motor: Any brushless motor
  • Batteries: 6-cell NiMH batteries, or 2-cell hard case Li-Poly batteries
  • Tires: Any tire designed for a SCT. 1/8 Buggy tires are NOT allowed.
  • Bodies: Any short course truck style body.

1/10th 4wd Buggy

The 1/10th 4wd Buggy class is for intermediate to advanced racers who wish to run 4-wheel drive buggies with modified motors. The rules for this class are:

  • Chassis: Any 1/10th scale off-road 4-wheel drive buggy style chassis.
  • Motor: Any brushless motor. Generally this class will be 10.5T motors and lower.
  • Batteries: 6-cell NiMH batteries, or 2-cell hard case Li-Poly batteries (2s)
  • Tires: Any 1/10th buggy tries are allowed.
  • Bodies: Any 4WD buggy body intended for the class.
  • Minimum Weight: None.
  • Maximum Weight:13 lbs 6 oz.

1/10th Truggy

The 1/10th Truggy (truck) class is for intermediate to advanced racers who wish to run 4-wheel drive Truggies with modified motors. The rules for this class are:

  • Chassis: Any 1/10th scale off-road 4-wheel drive Truggy style chassis.
  • Motor: Any brushless motor. 
  • Batteries: 6-cell NiMH batteries, or 2-cell hard case Li-Poly batteries (2s)
  • Tires: Any 1/10th Truggy tries are allowed.
  • Bodies: Any 4WD Truggy body intended for the class.
  • Minimum Weight: None.

1/8th Scale Classes

1/8th Electric Buggy (eBuggy)

The 1/8th Electric Buggy division is for intermediate and advanced racers, with electric motors and 1/8th 4wd buggy chassis. These buggys are crazy fast! This class often brings sponsored driver entries and some of the best drivers in the state! You need to bring your A-game to compete with some of these drivers. Drivers who do not exhibit proper control of their vehicles in this class may not be allowed to race or practice in this class until his or her skills improve.  The rules for this class are:

  • Chassis: Any 1/8th electric buggy specific chassis, nitro to electric converted chassis or eBuggy Lite chassis.
  • Motor: Any 1/8th electric brushless motor.
  • Tires: Any rubber tire/wheel designed specifically for 1/8 buggy racing.
  • Bodies: Any 1/8 nitro or electric buggy body.
  • Minimum Weight: 3200 grams

1/8th Electric Truggy (eTruggy)

The 1/8th Electric Truggy (truck) division is for intermediate and advanced racers, with electric motors and 1/8th 4wd truck chassis. This is a great class for intermediate drivers that want to get into 1/8th scale racing. Drivers who do not exhibit proper control of their vehicles in this class may not be allowed to race or practice in this class until his or her skills improve. The rules for this class are:

  • Chassis: Any 1/8th electric truggy specific chassis or nitro to electric converted chassis.
  • Motor: Any 1/8th electric brushless motor.
  • Tires: Any rubber tire/wheel designed specifically for 1/8 truggy (truck) racing.
  • Bodies: Any 1/8 nitro or electric truggy (truck) body.
  • Minimum Weight: 4000 grams.
  • Maximum Weight: 13 lbs 6 oz.

1/8th Nitro Buggy

The 1/8th Nitro Buggy division is for intermediate and advanced racers, with nitro engines and 4wd buggy chassis. These are the big boys and girls folks. This class isn’t for the faint of heart. Competition is intense with sponsored driver entries and some of the best drivers in the state! Bring your pit crew or make sure you have someone to pit for you because the mains last 20 minutes for this class, so you’ll need someone to refuel your ride a few times mid race! Drivers who do not exhibit proper control of their vehicles in this class may not be allowed to race or practice in this class until his or her skills improve.  The rules for this class are:

  • Chassis: Any off-road 4-wheel drive nitro buggy style chassis.
  • Motor: .21 open competition engines max., or stock RTR pull start/roto start engines.
  • Tires: Any rubber tire/wheel designed specifically for 1/8 buggy racing.
  • Bodies: Any 1/8 nitro buggy body.
  • Minimum Weight: 3200 grams

1/8th Nitro Truggy

The 1/8th Nitro Truggy (truck) division is for intermediate and advanced racers, wishing to race 4wd nitro powered trucks. This class is often the gateway many drivers take to get started in the nitro world. Bring your pit crew or make sure you have someone to pit for you because the mains last 20 miutes for this class, so you’ll need someone to refuel your ride a few times mid race! Drivers who do not exhibit proper control of their vehicles in this class may not be allowed to race or practice in this class until his or her skills improve. The rules for this class are:

  • Chassis: Any off-road 4-wheel drive nitro truggy (truck) style chassis.
  • Motor: .28 open competition engines max, or stock RTR pull start/roto start engines..
  • Tires: Any rubber tire/wheel designed specifically for 1/8 truggy (truck) racing.
  • Bodies: Any 1/8 nitro truggy (truck) body.
  • Minimum Weight: 4000 grams.
  • Maximum Weight: 13 lbs 6 oz.

Minimum Entry Requirement

A minimum of 4 entries are needed for any class before we will race that class. If there are less than 4 entries for a class when registration is over, we will do our best to place you in a similar class so you can still race. If this isn’t possible, your race fee will be refunded.
